Gather with Our Ancestors in the Desert…

From time immemorial, our forebears have gone out to the desert for wisdom, atonement, clarity and courage. We are the living ones now. Can we meet them again in the desert?

We’ve been gathering as the Western Constellations Intensive (originally, the West Coast Constellations Intensive until our move to New Mexico last year), for eight years now. We done this through a pandemic (online), through wars and natural disasters, and through movements for racial and colonial reckoning. We’ve also gathering through our own life challenges: losses, illnesses, facing our complex PTSD, vocational and spiritual discernment, and even deaths.

Systemic Constellations gives us a powerful way to gather around these inevitable life questions and challenges. We stand in solidarity among the living and the dead to include all that’s been excluded, and bow to the larger forces that shape our lives.

Now we do so in the fragile, resilient and unsentimental desert of the American Southwest. We don’t come here for luxuries, mostly. We come here for the simplicity, the rawness and the inescapable presence of time and timelessness. We meet our ancestors here. We hope you come, too.

What is Family & Systemic Constellations Work?

Bert HellingerThis Intensive is centered in the practice founded by Bert Hellinger, and since developed as a means of cross-generational inquiry and healing. The traumas of history linger when they can’t be fully acknowledged and dealt with at the time. That unresolved history shows up in our personal and collective pain. Through constellations work we can include all that has taken place, release what is over, and receive deep strength for our paths ahead.

We honor that Hellinger, our founder, passed away in late 2019. He was the teacher of many of our past and present faculty and is acknowledged to be the founder of our beautiful work. You can read some essays on what Hellinger meant to Suzi Tucker (past and present faculty) and to Leslie Nipps (founder and organizer).

If you are new to constellations work, go to our What are constellations? page to find out more. We invite you to take this journey in a beautiful place, with fellow explorers, guided and supported by our world-famous faculty.

For Personal Work and for Collective Healing

Bert Hellinger once defined healing as bringing together parts that have been separated.  He was describing a movement from the kind of fragmentation that happens in the face of great strife, whether in communities or within the individual soul, to the reparation that naturally occurs when we commit to truly seeing one another – and ourselves – with compassion. It is an invitation to walk in the company of caring others as we seek out the wisdom of our ancestors to move forward more boldly and in greater unity. You are warmly welcomed to find out more, and join us!
